Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of Omari Hutchinson from Ipswich Town.

The England Under 21 has joined the Midlands club on a five-year deal for a £37.5million fee.

Hutchinson made 32 appearances for Kieran McKenna’s side in the Premier League last season, scoring three goals and providing two assists.

The 21-year-old, who starred at the U21 Euros this summer, previously spent time at the academies of Arsenal and Chelsea.

After a successful loan stint in the Championship for the Tractor Boys in 2023-24, Hutchinson made his loan move from Chelsea permanent last summer, joining Ipswich for a club-record £22.5m fee.

In 82 competitive appearances for the club, he contributed 14 goals and eight assists over two seasons.

Upon signing for Forest, the forward said: ‘I’m really excited to be here and can’t wait to get started. I’ve played at the City Ground a few times and it’s always felt like a hostile atmosphere, so I’m looking forward to playing here with the fans behind us.

‘I’m going to give it my all and I’m looking forward to the challenge as it’s a new chapter for me, but I feel ready.’

Hutchinson said on social media: ‘Blessed to be at this historic club with great ambitions, can’t wait to see you guys at the City Ground. Let’s get it rockingggg.’

Forest’s Chief Football Officer, Ross Wilson, added: ‘Omari is a really exciting addition to the squad. He’s coming off a fantastic summer, winning the U21 European Championship alongside Elliot [Anderson], and arrives here full of confidence.

‘He joins an already talented group of players and adds another layer of quality and energy to our attacking options. We’re looking forward to seeing him thrive in a Forest shirt.’
