Viktor Gyokeres’ name has been linked with a magnitude of clubs since he joined Sporting and that will only increase following the revelation of his supposed release clause.
Gyokeres is enjoying a breathtaking season at the Portuguese giants – having plundered in 47 goals in 46 matches in all competitions, alongside 11 assists.
His feats this campaign follow a terrific debut 2023-24 term where he scored 43 goals in 50 matches with 15 assists to boot for the club.
The 26-year-old’s exploits at Sporting have earned him many suitors – with multiple top European teams on the lookout for a striker this summer.
And Gyokeres will be an even greater attraction with his release clause surprisingly lower than you think.
According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, the Sweden international’s release clause is just £60million.

A Bola report that Gyokeres wants to play for a Champions League club next season and has many teams on his wishlist. In fact there, there are seven in total: Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City from the Premier League, Barcelona and Real Madrid from LaLiga, Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain and Bundesliga’s Bayern Munich.
And of his aforementioned preferred destinations, A Bola add that one is leading the race for his signature.

Mikel Arteta’s side have been warned that Chelsea could swoop in for a move though, like how the Blues beat Manchester United to buying Sporting youngster Geovany Quenda in a £43.7m deal last month.
Gyokeres will look to showcase his talents once more on Tuesday night when Sporting travel to Rio Ave in the second leg of their Taca de Portugal semi-final.
He is vying with Mohamed Salah, Robert Lewandowski and Harry Kane for the European Golden Boot and Sporting coach Rui Borges backs him to triumph in that.

‘We have to enjoy this opportunity while we can, he is an above average player. I see him completely focused and with a hunger and ambition to be able to help the team become champions again and play in the Cup final.’
