Wolves forward Matheus Cunha’s new release clause is worth £62million, Mail Sport can reveal.

Cunha is one of the hottest properties in English football and was a target for a host of clubs during the winter transfer window.

But the Brazil international signed a new four-and-a-half year deal over the weekend to commit his immediate future to the Molineux club.

However, the contract did include a release clause that becomes active at the end of the season.

And Mail Sport can reveal the value of the buy-out is believed to be set at £62million.

We can also disclose that there are no restrictions on which clubs can activate the clause when it becomes valid.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest are among the clubs to have monitored the former Atletico Madrid star.
