GOAL – Liverpool 4-1 Chelsea (Luis Diaz)

He may not be able to hit a barn door but Nunez has got himself a great assist here.

He drifts away from Badiashile and then whips in a cross for Diaz to tap home.

Liverpool 3-1 Chelsea

You’ll never guess what? Nunez has hit the woodwork again!

This time it’s from a clipped cross and he arrives well and powers a header towards goal but it comes back off the bar. That’s four times he’s hit the woodwork tonight.

Liverpool 3-1 Chelsea

Chelsea want a penalty again, but they haven’t got it!

Van Dijk looks to kick through Nkunku but the referee doesn’t give it, and VAR are happy with the original decision.

That looked very clumsy from Van Dijk.

GOAL – Liverpool 3-1 Chelsea (Christopher Nkunku)

Perhaps a glimmer of hope for Chelsea.

Sterling finds Nkunku is the box and he turns onto his left foot before firing into the bottom corner.

A top finish and Pochettino is now trying to fire his players up.

Liverpool 3-0 Chelsea

Klopp rings the changes with the three points in the bag.

Alexander-Arnold, Robertson, Gakpo and Elliott come on for Bradley, Gomez, Szoboszlai and Jota.

Liverpool 3-0 Chelsea

Not a happy night for Caicedo, who chose Chelsea over Liverpool last summer.

He is replaced by Chukwuemeka.

GOAL – Liverpool 3-0 Chelsea (Dominik Szoboszlai)

Surely this is game over.

Van Dijk switches the play out to Bradley who whips in a peach of a cross for Szoboszlai to head home.

So simple but so effective. Liverpool in cruise control.

Liverpool 2-0 Chelsea

Mudryk is getting no change out of Bradley.

He takes him on once and wants a penalty but Bradley was just too strong for him. Nothing doing.

He tries Bradley again, and ends up fouling him. Easy work for the full back there.

Liverpool 2-0 Chelsea

Lovely football from Liverpool as they intricately work the ball into the box.

Nunez finds half a yard of space and tries another shot but it’s straight at Petrovic. Starting to wonder if it will ever go in for Nunez.

It has not been Raheem Sterling’s night so far

It has been a very quiet night for Sterling so far against his former club.

Can he somehow pull Chelsea back into this?

Conor Bradley enjoying an excellent night

Bradley has already seen off Chilwell in the first half and he had made a fine start to the second half as well.

He gets a round of applause from the home crowd as he wins a free-kick after getting the ball back with a strong tackle.

Liverpool 2-0 Chelsea

Diaz, who has been fantastic tonight, cuts inside and fires a shot at goal but it’s straight at Petrovic.

Liverpool 2-0 Chelsea

Chelsea’s best chance of the night by a distance.

Gusto gets in down the right and squares for Mudryk. He is on the stretch slightly, but should do better as his close-range shot flies well over.

Liverpool 2-0 Chelsea

Just not happening for Chelsea as Caicedo plays a lovely ball in behind, but Sterling checks back and then his pass is overhit and goes through to Allison.

Liverpool 2-0 Chelsea

Silly from Nunez as he is booked for kicking the ball away after being caught offside.

A groan from the crowd, but he can have no complaints there.

We are back underway

Chelsea start the second half.

The players are back out…

The teams are back out, and Chelsea have made a triple substitution!

Gusto, Nkunku and Mudryk are on for Chilwell, Gallagher and Madueke.

Is there any way back for Chelsea?

Chelsea were thoroughly out-played in that first half.

What can Pochettino do to try to get his side back into the game?

What a moment for Conor Bradley!

The Liverpool full back has had a fine first half, and he took his goal brilliantly to double his side’s lead.

A penny for John Terry’s thoughts in the away end

John Terry is with the Chelsea fans at Anfield tonight.

He’s had very little to cheer, with the Blues being totally dominated in that first half.

Liverpool 2-0 Chelsea (Half time)

There goes the whistle and it’s been a dominant half for Liverpool.

Goals for Jota and Bradley, and they could have been further clear but Nunez hit the post with a penalty.

Chelsea have created very littler, but will feel they should have had a penalty when Gallagher appeared to be brought down by Van Dijk at 0-0.

Liverpool 2-0 Chelsea

That penalty miss came in stoppage time. There will be four minutes added on at the end of the half.

Liverpool 2-0 Chelsea

Nunez misses the penalty!

What is it with Nunez and hitting the woodwork? He’s done it again here as he sends Petrovic the wrong way, but his strike comes back off the post.

Liverpool 2-0 Chelsea

This is going from bad to worse for Chelsea.

Van Dijk plays the ball back across for Jota and Badiashile stands on his foot. The referee points to the spot, and VAR confirms it.

Liverpool 2-0 Chelsea

Four yellow cards for Chelsea now as Disasi goes into the book.

Referee Paul Tierney also has a word with Mauricio Pochettino who is far from happy with how things are going for his side.

GOAL – Liverpool 2-0 Chelsea (Conor Bradley)

It’s an uphill task for Chelsea now as Liverpool double their lead.

Diaz does well and plays in Bradley down the right. He picks his spot beautifully, firing his effort into the far corner. But is there a foul by Jota on Chilwell in the build-up? VAR is checking…

Bradley holds his breath, and the goal stands! 2-0 Liverpool.

Liverpool 1-0 Chelsea

Chelsea appeal for another penalty, but you’re not getting that, Ben.

Chilwell goes into the box and Konate dangles a leg but there is no contact and Chilwell is booked for diving.

Liverpool 1-0 Chelsea

Another yellow card for Chelsea, this time to Fernandez as he goes in late on Jones.

It presents Liverpool with a dangerous free-kick, but Szoboszlai’s effort comes back off the wall.

Liverpool 1-0 Chelsea

Liverpool pushing for a second and Petrovic does well to get down to his left and push away a shot from Jones.

The follow up effort is fired over, but Liverpool well on top now.

GOAL – Liverpool 1-0 Chelsea (Diogo Jota)

Chilwell gives the ball away and Jota picks the ball up on the edge of the box.

He gets a bit of luck as he just gets past Badiashile with the help of a rebound. Jota keeps his cool to fire past Petrovic and Liverpool lead.

VAR check for a handball, but it looks like Badiashile’s hand if anyone’s, and the goal stands.

Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea

Joe Cole has just been reflecting on that early penalty shout for Joe Cole and believes it was a stonewall penalty.

That will certainly cause some controversy if Chelsea go on to lose this.

Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea

Another half-chance for Liverpool as Diaz gets his head to a free-kick, but his effort drifts wide.

Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea

So close to the opener for Liverpool!

It’s another clipped ball over the top and Nunez shoots across goal with his left foot. Petrovic just gets a hand to it and it clips the post and goes wide.

Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea

Nunez really fancies a goal tonight and tries a shot from the edge of the area.

But it’s well off target, not troubling Petrovic at all.

Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea

First booking of the match goes to Caicedo for dissent after he gives away a free-kick.

The resulting free-kick is a decent one, but the near post flick goes well wide.

Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea

A lovely flick finds Nunez and he lets fly from the edge of the area.

Petrovic tips over, and the corner comes to nothing.

Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea

Now then, should Chelsea have a penalty here?

They break quickly and Gallagher takes it past Van Dijk. There is contact, but VAR takes a look and decides there is not enough in it. That’s a big call early on.

Chris Sutton on 5 Live agrees with the verdict, admitting there was contact but that Gallagher went down ‘too easily’.

Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea

First chance for Liverpool as Bradley clips a ball over the top. Nunez tries to chip the keeper but Petrovic just gets back in time to pluck his effort from the air.

Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea

First round of applause for his side from Klopp as Liverpool force Chelsea to clear the ball out for a throw.

The hosts have settled the quicker of the two teams so far.

Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea

Liverpool straight onto the front foot and Chelsea struggle to clear their lines on a couple of occasions.

But from their first attack, Sterling neaely gets in behind, only for Alisson to just get to the ball ahead of him.

Here come the teams…

The Liverpool fans are in full voice as the players emerge from the tunnel.

Feels like it’s going to be a special Anfield atmosphere tonight, just five days after Klopp announced he will be leaving.

Joe Cole admits he fancies Chelsea to pull off an upset

Joe Cole played for both these teams but is more well-known for his time at Chelsea.

He has backed the Blues to pull off a shock and beat Liverpool on their own patch.

A bold call, but will he be proved right?
