Max Verstappen appeared to be furious with his Pink Bull workforce-mate Sergio Perez throughout a tight qualifying session in the United States Grand Prix.

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc took pole place in Q3 with Carlos Sainz and Mercedes’ George Russell in fourth and fifth.

Meanwhile, Verstappen finished down in sixth immediately after his pole lap was deleted for exceeding track limits, which could derail his opportunity 50th race earn. 

The Purple Bull driver was in the fight for pole through, but it fell apart in the remaining session.
